Fezeka Business Services was established in 2001 with a vision to provide sustainable housing and bring dignity to the impoverished communities of rural Kwa-Zulu Natal. Fezeka Business Services is a 100% female owned black company within the construction industry. The company has been able to create and implement turnkey solutions for failing projects and in the process has created opportunities for other emerging construction companies.

Fezeka Business Services was awarded a R 179 m contract by the Provincial Department of Human Settlements (Kwa-Zulu Natal) for the rectification of 1 605 housing units in the Richmond Local Municipality, within a period of 24 months effective 24 June 2020. The contract is twofold: it required Fezeka business Services to restore already built units and construct new housing units for identified beneficiaries.
SP Impact Fund provided funding of R 3,7 m which enabled Fezeka Business Services to purchase sufficient material and supplies for a period of 3 months. SP Impact Fund’s capital contribution was essential in helping Fezeka Business Services to build up cash flow and aid the project to sustain itself from there on. The capital contribution also played a significant role in creating jobs, a total number of 40 jobs were created, 37 short-term and 3 long-term.
